Vinnie Monte was an early rock n' roll crooner and ballad singer who was very popular with the teen crowd and enjoyed a fruitful career that began in the mid-1950s and stretched into the mid-1960s. He had singles released on several different labels and recorded songs by the popular writers of the day including Bobby Darin, Barry Mann, Jeff Barry, and Carole King. His string of singles are highly sought after today in early rock n' roll collectors' circles but sadly under-represented in the digital age. Featured here is his classic 1959 single "I Believe" b/w "After You've Gone," originally released on Lou Fargo's New York City based Decanter Records label and presented here newly remastered and finally made available for young and older listeners alike.
